Admissions

The Green Oaks Primary Academy provides for the needs of children within the 3 to 11 age range.

Pupils will be admitted at the age of 3+ without reference to ability or aptitude using the criteria set out in this policy. Admission to our Academy is not dependent on any ‘voluntary’ contribution.

For admissions to Reception for September 2025 parents should apply using the Northamptonshire County Council's Admissions process. Application forms must be completed and return to the Council

Appeals

Parents have the right of appeal to an Independent Appeals Panel if their application is unsuccessful relating to admissions at age 5 (statutory school age) or above.  Appeals should be made within twenty (20) school days of the date of refusal to:

Please be aware that the regulations under Section I of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 limit the size of an infant class (a class in which the majority of children will reach the age of 5, 6 or 7 during the school year) to 30 pupils per class teacher. Admissions over this limit are only permitted in very limited circumstances.

 

Nursery

In the first instance, please complete the own school's nursery admissions form. Your child will be added to the waiting list and we will contact you towards the end of the term before they start to discuss your needs and to arrange a 'stay and play' session with parents and a start date.
